Local authorities have not yet commented on the consequences of the attack. Saratov Oblast Governor Roman Busargin only reported a drone threat in the region.

The Saratov oil refinery is part of the Rosneft oil company and is one of the oldest oil-processing facilities in the Volga region. It supplies fuel to the Russian forces.

There have also been reports of a strike on an oil depot in the settlement of Matveyev Kurgan in Rostov Oblast.
