Power restored to all Kyiv homes after Russia's overnight attack

DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company, has restored electricity to 140,000 households in Kyiv that had been left without power after Russia's attack on the night of 1-2 June.

  • Russia conducted a large-scale combined attack on Ukraine using drones and air-, sea- and land-launched missiles of various types on the night of 1-2 June. Ukrainian air defences downed 642 aerial assets out of 729 launched.
  • Earlier, DTEK said it had restored power to 110,000 households in Kyiv after Russia's large-scale attack damaged the company's energy facilities and a production site.
