Details: According to ASTRA, online departure boards show dozens of delayed and cancelled flights, both arrivals and departures. Passengers have reported overcrowding inside the terminal, with no seating left available. Travellers are sitting and lying on the floor, using towels and camping mats as makeshift bedding.
Mash said that during this period, the airport has been open for only a total of eight minutes.
The airport press service noted that airlines and airport staff are working flat out to stabilise the schedule. The press service also claims that the situation remains calm: "All operations – from check-in to boarding – are being carried out as normal."
