"Motorcycles remain among the most in-demand vehicles on the front lines, alongside pickup trucks. They provide Ukrainian forces with high mobility, speed of movement and efficiency in completing tasks, especially in conditions of complex logistics, lack of roads or when operating in small groups," the ministry said.

The Ministry of Defence noted that the Wolfstorm is designed with a mid-drive configuration, which provides better balance and efficiency on rough terrain.

The ministry added that the electric motorcycle weighs 105 kg, reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h and has a range of up to 100 km. Its 8 kW electric motor is positioned in the centre of the frame, with power transmitted to the rear wheel via a chain, as in conventional motorcycles. The Wolfstorm is also equipped with a reverse gear.

A full battery charge takes about four hours. The design also allows for quick battery replacement.

The electric motorcycle has a load capacity of 200 kg, allowing it to transport two service members along with additional equipment.

The Ministry of Defence also added that the Wolfstorm combines the advantages of classic lightweight off-road motorcycles with internal combustion engines and silent, high-performance electric motorcycles.

Among its advantages are high operational readiness, no need for preparatory procedures, near-silent operation, no thermal signature, modular design, resistance to moisture and temperature changes, high mobility, low operating costs and a longer service life of spare parts.

The Ministry of Defence said the Wolfstorm can be used to conduct reconnaissance missions, transport explosive ordnance disposal teams, rotate personnel, transport UAV crews, carry out logistical tasks, conduct evacuation, as well as patrol and protect facilities.

In 2026, Ukraine's Defence Procurement Agency signed contracts for the supply of 1,500 motorcycles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is roughly three times higher than last year's volume. Thanks to the involvement of six companies in the tender, almost UAH 12 million (about US$300,000) was saved for the state budget.

It was previously reported that Ukraine's Ministry of Defence will purchase a batch of 5,000 pickup trucks for the Ukrainian military. The vehicles will be acquired through an open tender on the Prozorro public procurement platform.
