European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will present the new EU package of sanctions against Russia on Tuesday 9 June.

Details: The European Commission president will present the 21st Russia sanctions package at 14:00 Kyiv time on 9 June in Brussels.

Following the presentation, the sanctions package proposal will be forwarded for discussion and approval by member states in the EU Council.

According to European Pravda's sources, the 21st EU sanctions package against Russia is to be approved by 15 July, ahead of the deadline for updating the price cap on Russian oil.

European Pravda previously reported, citing its own sources, that the new package would be presented on 8-9 June.

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced earlier that the EU's 21st package could include measures targeting Russia's defence industrial base and its shadow fleet.
