Several trains in occupied Crimea to stop running at night

The Russian-installed occupation authorities in Crimea have announced changes to the passenger train schedule, with some services now operating only during daylight hours, between 05:00 and 23:00.

Quote: "Entry by rail into the Republic of Crimea will be permitted only during daylight hours, from 05:00 to 23:00, with trains travelling to Simferopol in accordance with the approved timetable."
Details: Aksyonov said the summer schedule includes 48 pairs of suburban trains and 14 pairs of long-distance services operating across 20 routes.
Of these, eight pairs serving 10 routes will continue to run across occupied Crimea during the daytime and travel to Simferopol as scheduled. The remaining six pairs on 10 routes will run only as far as Kerch-Pivdenna station.
Passengers travelling beyond Kerch-Pivdenna will be required to transfer to buses bound for destinations such as Dzhankoi, Vladyslavivka and Simferopol.
The same arrangement will apply in the opposite direction, with bus transfers from Simferopol, Dzhankoi or Vladyslavivka to Kerch.
Aksyonov added that the changes do not affect suburban rail services.
Background:
- On 8 June, the Russian authorities in occupied Crimea temporarily suspended passenger train services on the peninsula following a drone strike on a diesel locomotive.
- Earlier, the occupation authorities also introduced restrictions on the distribution of A-95 petrol, announcing that from 31 May it would be available on a voucher basis without volume limits and the fuel needs of municipal and social transport would be prioritised.
