Bomb disposal experts defuse warhead of drone that struck apartment in Odesa – photo, video

Bomb disposal experts have neutralised a Russian drone that became lodged in an apartment in a high-rise residential building in Odesa's Prymorskyi district during an overnight attack.

Details: Police reported that during a Russian drone attack on Odesa on the night of 9-10 June, a UAV struck a residential area.

At the scene, experts from the National Police in Odesa Oblast discovered wreckage from a Geran-2 drone, its engine, electronic components and an unexploded warhead inside an apartment on the 10th floor of an 18-storey building.
Quote: "The unmanned aerial vehicle posed a deadly threat – it carried a warhead containing 50 kg of explosives that had failed to detonate. Thanks to the professional actions of law enforcement officers, however, the danger to residents of the apartment building was neutralised."
Details: The bomb disposal experts carried out a specialised operation to render the explosives safe and remove them from the building, eliminating the threat to residents.
The recovered explosive materials will later be destroyed at a designated testing ground.
