Metropolitan Epiphanius on Russian strike on Kyiv Pechersk Lavra: "Yet another Russian crime against humanity"

Metropolitan Epiphanius, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), has published a post on social media describing the Russian strike on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra as "yet another crime against humanity".

Quote: "As a result of the Russian bombardment currently taking place in the early hours of 15 June, the roof of one of the holiest sites in the Christian world – the Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra in Kyiv – is on fire.

Details: Metropolitan Epiphanius said that the strike on the Lavra was "yet another Russian crime against humanity, against history and against Christianity".

Background: A fire broke out on the grounds of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra following a large-scale attack on Kyiv. Kyiv City Military Administration reported a direct strike on the Lavra, causing significant damage.
