A Tu-22M3 strategic bomber has crashed in Russia's Irkutsk Oblast.

Details: The Russian Defence Ministry claimed that the aircraft crashed while coming in to land "during a training flight in Irkutsk Oblast". The crew allegedly ejected.

Background: On 22 April 2024, a Tu-22M3 long-range strategic bomber crashed in Russia's Stavropol Krai. The Russians have been using aircraft of this type to land strikes on Ukraine.
