Russia attacks Ukraine with Iskander missiles and drones: air defence downs 114 UAVs

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 132 drones of various types on the night of 15-16 June. Ukrainian air defence forces have downed 114 UAVs, with strikes recorded at nine locations.

Details: From 18:00 on 15 June, Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from Russia's Rostov Oblast as well as Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas attack drones and Parodiya decoy UAVs from the Russian cities of Shatalovo, Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

Quote: "As of 08:30, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 114 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.

Hits by missiles and 16 UAVs have been recorded at nine locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at eight locations."
