Ukraine could open remaining EU negotiating clusters on 14 July

A date has been agreed at European Union level for opening the five remaining clusters in Ukraine's accession negotiations – 14 July.

Details: The decision is expected to be taken on 14 July at a meeting of the EU General Affairs Council.

Although the event is not yet listed in the Council's official calendar, the date has been discussed and informally agreed by European ministers.

Without naming a specific date, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos hinted after a press conference in Luxembourg on 15 June that the remaining clusters could be opened on 14 July.

She said that it had been a mega Monday for her and that she hoped they would have an incredible Tuesday in July.
