Russian oil giant restricts petrol sales following strikes on refinery

Tatneft has introduced a limit on fuel sales at all its petrol stations in Russia, following Ukraine's drone strikes on a refinery in Tatarstan on 12 June.

Details: According to the operator, in addition to the fuel sales limit, payment restrictions are also in place – only cash is accepted.
Tatneft says that, for "technical reasons", the maximum amount of petrol that can be dispensed for cars is 30 litres. Diesel sales are limited to 60 litres for cars and 300 litres for trucks.
The company does not explain what these "technical reasons" are, although on 12 June Ukraine struck two refineries in Tatarstan, including Tatneft's TANECO facility, one of the largest in Russia.
Tatneft is one of Russia's major oil companies, based in Tatarstan. It produces oil and has its own refining, petrochemical operations and a network of petrol stations across Russia.
Amid Ukrainian strikes on refineries and fuel supply disruptions, Russian authorities have allowed certain refineries to release Euro-5 grade petrol and diesel onto the domestic market, but with quality indicators corresponding to Euro-3.
