Details: The document lays the foundation for cooperation between the parties on the development of a missile defence system within the Freyja air defence system project.
Under the agreement, Hensoldt will be responsible for the production, testing and supply of radar systems for the ground-based air defence system.
"The asset in question is the TRML-4D, a highly mobile radar capable of simultaneously detecting and tracking more than 1,500 targets at ranges of up to 250 km. It is based on active electronically scanned array (AESA) technology. The radar has demonstrated its effectiveness in operational use over the past few years and, due to its software adaptability, is well-suited for integration into ground-based air defence (GBAD) systems," the Ukrainian company said.
Meanwhile, Fire Point will be responsible for the overall architecture of the system. The Ukrainian company will oversee the development, production and integration of FP-7 interceptor missiles, control systems and launchers, as well as the integration of all components into a unified missile defence system.
"…We lacked radars to implement Freyja, but now we have them, and we can move from the concept to the practical implementation of a pan-European anti-ballistic shield," said Iryna Terekh, CEO and CTO of Fire Point.

Background:
- In May, Fire Point presented the concept of the Freyja system. The project is based on the FP-7.x interceptor missile, which has a declared speed of 1,500-2,000 m per second. The missile is 7.25 m long, with an outer diameter of 1.15 m and a fuselage diameter of 0.53 m.
- Fire Point recently conducted a fully controlled manoeuvring flight of the FP-7.X missile and released the corresponding video.
