DeepState: Russian forces pushing near Pokrovsk to establish foothold south of Dobropillia

Russian forces are concentrating troops around Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk Oblast and increasing pressure on the settlements of Rodynske and Bilytske in an apparent effort to establish a foothold south of Dobropillia.

Quote: "The enemy's recent activity [near Pokrovsk – ed.] has been focused on the Dobropillia front, particularly along the Rodynske-Bilytske line. Russian forces are exerting heavy pressure on Rodynske, gradually expanding their control over the settlement and infiltrating deeper into the area using their usual tactics.

Similar infiltration attempts are being observed towards Bilytske, which plays an important role in the area and could serve as a logistics hub and staging point for further advances."

Details: According to DeepState, Russian forces deem it crucial to reach a number of settlements south of Dobropillia in order to establish a foothold, build up troops and continue advancing towards Dobropillia itself.

"Reaching the area south of Dobropillia would disrupt logistics and operations within the city itself due to the threat posed by enemy drones. At present, Ukraine's defence forces are making every possible effort to prevent the enemy from carrying out these plans," the analysts said.

• On 16 June, DeepState assessed the situation in Kostiantynivka, warning that Russian forces have reached the city's outskirts from multiple directions and are continuing to infiltrate the urban area.
• According to the analysts, capturing Kostiantynivka would open the way for Russia to advance towards the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration.
