Satellite imagery shows that the site contains eight oil storage tanks and is served by railway tracks.

Slyusar said one person had been killed and two injured in the attack on Gukovo. He also reported that "two commercial facilities caught fire" and that a locomotive had been damaged.

A large fire also broke out near Shebekino in Belgorod Oblast on the evening of 17 June. There were posts on local Telegram channels reporting drones flying over the area shortly before the blaze started.

Analysis of photos and videos suggests the fire erupted in an industrial zone on the border between the villages of Rzhevka and Voznesenka. A warehouse containing flammable materials is burning. Analysts believe the warehouses may have been used by Russian forces to store military equipment and supplies.
