Explosions heard overnight in occupied Crimea: fire breaks out

Explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of 18-19 June. A fire broke out.

Details: Local residents reported that a series of explosions occurred in occupied Sevastopol, with air defence systems in operation.

Explosions were also heard in Armiansk, including near the Crimean Titan plant, as well as in the area of the Kacha and Saky airfields and the airbase in Hvardiiske.

A petrol station between Perekop and Armiansk has also reportedly been hit, with a fire visible.

The occupation authorities of the peninsula have not yet commented on the incident.

Background: On the night of 17-18 June, Ukrainian drones struck the Moscow oil refinery in Kapotnya, sparking a large fire at the facility. Russian media have described the attack as the largest in the past two years, and residents in some districts of Moscow complained of "oil rain".
