Details: The oblasts affected are Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson.
"Emergency repair works have already begun wherever security conditions allow. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible," the statement says.
Electricity consumption has risen. Today, 19 June, as of 09:30, consumption was 3.1% higher than at the same time on the previous working day.
This is due to rising temperatures in some regions.
Energy workers are asking consumers to shift active electricity use to the period between 09:00 and 17:00.
