Quote: "As I said earlier, Starlink had been installed on the destroyed USVs, because the enemy has no other long-range control systems."
Background:
- Following the unauthorised use of Starlink satellite communication terminals by Russian forces on strike UAVs, Ukraine, working with SpaceX, introduced terminal verification on 2 February. Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov reported that Russian forces' Starlink terminals were completely blocked. On the morning of 5 February, Serhii Beskrestnov said the Russians were facing a catastrophe on the front line due to communication issues.
- It was reported earlier that Russia has presented its new Kama uncrewed surface vessels, which can cover distances of up to 700 km and carry loads of up to 600 kg.
