Eighteen people, including two children, were injured in Russian attacks on the city of Sumy on the morning of 27 June.

Details: Emergency workers reported that the attacks on Sumy damaged a five-storey apartment block, houses and civilian vehicles.

Thirteen people, including two children, are currently known to have been injured.

Their injuries are not serious, Sumy Oblast Military Administration added.

Update: Hryhorov reported that the number of people who sought medical assistance has risen to 18.

He said updated information indicates that the Russians attacked Sumy with three jet-powered UAVs.

According to initial expert findings, the UAVs were high-speed jet-powered systems, which fly significantly faster than conventional attack drones, making defensive responses a challenge.

Damage to high-rise buildings, houses, vehicles and infrastructure facilities has been recorded at seven locations.

The most serious injuries were sustained by a 47-year-old woman who was injured near an apartment block. She is currently under medical supervision.

Two children and two adults are also in hospital. The other casualties received assistance at the scene or were discharged after being examined.
