Russians hit Kyiv with ballistic missiles: several people injured, fires caused
Explosions were heard in Kyiv on the night of 27-28 June as Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on the Ukrainian capital, leaving two people injured and causing several fires.

Details: At around 02:00, the Ukrainian Air Force reported there was a threat of a ballistic missile attack.
An air-raid warning was shortly beforehand in the city of Kyiv and a number of regions.
The Air Force later reported that ballistic missiles were heading towards Kyiv.
Explosions rocked the capital at around 02:00.
At 02:03, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that air defence systems were responding to the attack in Kyiv.
Update: Shortly after 02:30 a.m., Tymur Tkachenko urged people to remain in shelters, saying: "Stay in shelters until the all-clear is given! The enemy is attacking the capital with ballistic missiles!"
At 02:32, the Air Force again warned of ballistic missiles heading towards Kyiv, and further explosions were heard in the city.
At 02:47, Tkachenko reported that one person had been injured in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district.
He later said that several fires had broken out at different locations in the district as a result of the attack.
Update: The all-clear was given at 03:11, and the Air Force declared the ballistic missile threat over at 03:14.
Later in the morning, Tkachenko said the number of people injured in the attack had risen to two.
