Death toll from Russian attack on Kyiv rises to 21 – photos
Kyiv City Military Administration reported that on 2 July, the death toll in Kyiv from Russia's large-scale combined attack had risen to 21.

Details: As of 12:40, prosecutors had reported 18 people killed.
Update: The State Emergency Service reported that as of 16:35, the death toll from the Russian strike on Kyiv has risen to 21. Eighty-five people were injured, including two children.
Emergency response operations are ongoing.
Background:
- On the night of 1-2 July, Russian forces launched a large-scale combined strike on Ukraine using attack UAVs as well as air-, land- and sea-launched missiles of various types. Ukraine's air defences downed 524 of the 570 aerial targets launched, although 25 ballistic missiles and 12 attack drones reached their targets.
- Kyiv was the primary target of the attack. Nearly 90 people were injured in the Russian strike on the capital, and both the number of people injured and the death toll continue to rise.
