Details: Amid the fuel crisis, the Novorossiysk Municipal Management Centre launched an online map showing real-time fuel availability at petrol stations across the city. On 3 July, every filling station listed on the map had run out of petrol, with only diesel remaining.
Fuel shortages in Novorossiysk began on 10 June. By early July, residents were forced to queue for hours to buy petrol at the few filling stations where supplies were still available.
The fuel crisis has also affected public transport, with air conditioning no longer operating on city buses. Taxi fares have increased, and significantly fewer cars have been seen on the streets.
Background: Earlier, social media users reported that several electrical substations were on fire in temporarily occupied Crimea following overnight attacks.
