The 220/35/10 kV Marianivka substation has been burning since at least 02:46, Krymsky Veter added.

The facility has been undergoing a major refurbishment project from 2024 to 2026: old 20 MVA transformers are being replaced with new 40 MVA units.

The Marianivka substation was previously hit and caught fire on the night of Monday 28-29 June.

A fire has also been reported near a railway bridge by the village of Yantarne, close to Marianivka, where the substation is burning.
