Details: The State Emergency Service said the dog was finally found later that evening.
Quote: "As dusk began to fall, a miracle happened: he found her. Blackened with soot, deafened by the explosions, terrified to death... but alive!"
Details: The man explained that Sima had grown up in his arms and that he had personally bottle-fed her as a puppy.
Holding his pet tightly, he kept repeating: "We'll wash you, we'll bathe you... Everything will be all right now."
"Those simple words carried so much love, pain, hope and faith. War takes away homes and peace of mind... But it cannot take away our humanity," the State Emergency Service said.
