Ukrainian forces hit five power substations in Crimea in a day

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have hit five power substations and a gas distribution station in temporarily occupied Crimea within a day. Forty-four energy facilities in Crimea and the southern part of the temporarily occupied territories have been attacked over the past week.

More details: Over the period from 1 to 7 July, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck 44 energy facilities in Crimea and the southern part of the temporarily occupied territories.

These included the Chkalove 35/10 kV substation in Chkalove, the Zakhidno-Krymska 330 kV substation in Karierne, the Saky 110 kV substation in Saky, the Komysh-Burun 220 kV substation in Kerch, the Mytiaieve 110 kV substation in Mytiaieve, and the Tasunove gas compressor station in Tasunove, Crimea.

Brovdi added that Unmanned Systems Forces drones have also hit two more Russian tankers in the Sea of Azov.

Quote: "These are the ninth and tenth tankers hit today, bringing the total number of vessels struck to 12."

Background:

  • It was reported earlier that all Russian-occupied areas of Kherson Oblast and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea are left completely without electricity.
  • It was also reported that operators from Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces struck eight tankers belonging to Russia's so-called shadow fleet in the Sea of Azov on the night of 6-7 July.
