A meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara has ended.

Details: The leaders' meeting took place on 8 July. After speaking to the press together with Zelenskyy, Trump said the meeting went "very well".

Background:
- On 8 July, Trump said the United States will give Ukraine a licence to produce Patriot systems, and that the US will buy drones from Ukraine.
- Trump also said he would be open to visiting Ukraine, but suggested that such a trip was not feasible while the war remained in its active phase.
