Ukraine calls on UN Security Council members to table immediate ceasefire resolution

Members of the UN Security Council should immediately table a resolution on a ceasefire in Ukraine.

Quote: "The paralysis of the UN Security Council regarding Russia's crimes must be stopped by the international community who still respect rules-based international order. Thus, we once again appeal to the members of the Security Council to place on the table, without further delay, a draft resolution calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire."

Details: Pavlichenko said that such a step "would be a clear signal in support for the restoration of the comprehensive, just and lasting peace for Ukraine". He also called on partners to continue providing military assistance.

Background: Ukraine initiated an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council following another large-scale Russian attack on the night of 5-6 July.
