Third gold of the season: Ukrainian canoeists triumph at World Cup stage in Montreal – video

Ukrainian canoeists Liudmyla Luzan and Anastasiia Rybachok have won the canoe double at 500 metres at the third stage of the World Cup.

Details: In the final, the Ukrainian crew showed the best result, completing the distance in 2:02.02.

China's crew took second place, finishing 1.21 seconds behind the Ukrainians. Spain's representatives took bronze (+1.56).

The third stage of the World Cup is being held in Montreal, Canada, and forms part of Olympic qualification for the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.

For Luzan and Rybachok, this was their third win of the season in the canoe double 500m discipline. The Ukrainian duo previously triumphed at the World Cup stage in Szeged, Hungary, and at the European Championship in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal.
