Ukraine's PM nominee on next winter: it could be even harder

Serhii Koretskyi, current CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine (the country's largest state-owned oil and gas company) and a nominee for prime minister, has said the next winter could be even more difficult, adding that preparations for it would be one of the key tasks for the new government.

Details: Koretskyi said the government must supply Ukraine's defence forces, scale up the defence industry, support the population and strengthen social protection, specifically in frontline communities.

Among the key tasks, he also named preparations for next winter, support for businesses, strengthening cooperation with partners, attracting and effectively using international aid, and Ukraine's accession to the EU.
