Ukraine's newly appointed PM submits list of nominees for new government

Ukraine's newly appointed Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) his nominations for positions in the new government.

Details: The prime minister has nominated:
- Denys Shmyhal for the post of first deputy prime minister and minister of energy
- Tetiana Berezhna for the post of deputy prime minister for humanitarian policy and minister of culture
- Vsevolod Chentsov for the post of deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration
- Vitalii Bezhin for the post of minister for communities, territories and internally displaced persons
- Matvii Bidnyi for the post of minister of youth and sports
- Andrii Butenko for the post of minister of education and science
- Ivan Vyhivskyi for the post of minister of internal affairs
- Taras Vysotskyi for the post of minister of agrarian policy and food
- Mykola Kalashnyk for the post of minister for recovery, infrastructure and transport
- Vitalii Kim for the post of minister for veterans affairs
- Oleksandr Kravchenko for the post of minister of economy and environment
- Viktor Liashko for the post of minister of health
- Serhii Marchenko for the post of minister of finance
- Denys Maslov for the post of minister of justice
- Denys Uliutin for the post of minister of social policy, family and unity
- Oksana Ferchuk for the post of minister of digital transformation.
"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider the nominations in the near future in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Law of Ukraine on the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine," Stefanchuk said.
Background: On 16 July, the Verkhovna Rada approved the appointment of Serhii Koretskyi as prime minister. Koretskyi previously served as CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, the country's largest oil and gas company, and Ukrnafta, Ukraine's largest oil producer.
