Russia attacks Ukraine with 41 missiles and 125 drones: 23 missile hits recorded

Russian forces launched a large-scale combined attack on Ukraine using 41 missiles and 125 drones on the night of 18-19 July. The Air Force has reported that hits by 23 missiles and 10 attack drones have been reported, and Kyiv was the main target.

Details: Russia launched 10 Zircon anti-ship missiles, 25 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and missiles fired from S-400 systems, three Oniks missiles, three Kh-59/69 air-launched missiles and 125 drones of various types.

As of 08:30, Ukrainian air defence had shot down or jammed 126 aerial assets – 18 missiles and 108 drones.

Air defences intercepted 17 Iskander-M, Zircon and S-400 missiles, one Kh-59/69 missile and 108 drones.

The Air Force also reported that 23 missiles and 10 attack drones hit 20 locations. Debris from downed drones fell at 18 locations.

At the time of reporting, the attack was still ongoing, with several Russian drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.

Background: The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that one person was killed and eight others were injured in Kyiv as a result of the attack. Fires broke out in at least five districts of the city.
