Two people have been killed and 42 injured, including eight children, in a Russian guided aerial bomb attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia on the evening of 19 July.

Details: A residential area sustained significant destruction as a result of the attack. A five-storey building was severely damaged, and a hit was recorded near a nine-storey building.

Initially, Fedorov reported that one person had been killed and three injured.

Two people, a woman and a child, remain trapped under the rubble of a high-rise building.

Fedorov later reported that two people had been killed and at least 10 injured in the strikes on Zaporizhzhia.

Russian guided aerial bombs destroyed two floors of the five-storey building and damaged windows and balconies in the nine-storey building. Damage has been caused in a residential area and a hub belonging to a logistics operator is on fire.

Update: Rescue workers later recovered the body of a woman from under the rubble, bringing the death toll to three.

Fedorov then reported that the number of people injured in the attack had risen to 33, including five children.

As of 21:52, Fedorov reported that two people had been killed and 41 injured.

The State Emergency Service said the number of people injured in the Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia had risen to 42, including eight children. Two people were killed.
