Russians attack firefighters extinguishing fire at Epitsentr DIY store in Sumy after strike – photos, video

Russian forces carried out a series of strikes on the city of Sumy and attacked firefighters as they attempted to extinguish a fire at an Epitsentr home improvement hypermarket.

Quote: "A large-scale fire broke out at a shopping centre as a result of an enemy attack. As soon as firefighters began extinguishing the fire, the enemy carried out follow-up strikes.
During one of the attacks, an emergency service vehicle was destroyed and another State Emergency Service vehicle was damaged."

First responders also reported that Russian forces attacked the grounds of a residential building. Two cars caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.
In addition, a Russian jet-powered UAV struck a nine-storey residential building. A fire broke out on the ground floor. Rescue workers evacuated residents from the building. Six people were injured in the strike, including four children.
