Japan's Minister of Justice, Mitani Hidehiro, arrived in Kyiv on Monday 21 July on a visit.

Details: The diplomatic mission said that during the visit, the minister will lay flowers at the Wall of Remembrance near St Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery and pay tribute to Ukraine's fallen defenders.

Background: Japan joined the PURL (Priority Ukraine Requirements List) initiative on 30 May, directing over US$14.6 million towards the procurement of non-lethal military equipment for Ukraine.
