India summons Russian diplomat over killing of four Indian nationals aboard vessel in Black Sea

Indian authorities have summoned a Russian diplomat to protest the killing of four Indian nationals aboard the Golden Leo in the Black Sea on 19 July.

Details: New Delhi described the attack as "deplorable" and demanded that those responsible be held accountable.

"The Ministry of External Affairs summoned the Russian Charge d'Affaires in New Delhi, Vladimir Ladanov, to convey India's strong objection over the incident and seek an explanation," India Today reported.

Background:

Four Indian nationals were killed as a result of a Russian attack on the Golden Leo in the Black Sea on 19 July.
The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reported that 10 people had been killed in the Russian strike.
