The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority has reported that 10 people have been killed in a Russian strike on a Guinea-Bissau-flagged merchant vessel carrying grain near Odesa.

Quote: "The search and rescue operation continued throughout the night. The fire on board the vessel has been contained. Eight crew members were rescued and brought ashore. Sadly, 10 people, including a marine pilot from the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, were killed."

Details: The vessel was leaving a Ukrainian port on 19 July after being loaded with maize. There were 17 crew members on board – citizens of Syria and India – as well as a marine pilot from the Delta-Pilot branch of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

The Russians struck the civilian vessel with missiles, committing yet another war crime.
