Zelenskyy and US ambassador to NATO discuss Patriot missile supplies and production in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with Matthew Whitaker, US Ambassador to NATO, and Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard, Commander of NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine, to discuss expanding supplies of interceptors for Patriot systems and joint defence projects with the US.

Details: Zelenskyy said the meeting focused primarily on increasing supplies of Patriot interceptors under the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) programme.
Quote: "We also discussed the US-Ukraine bilateral defence partnership: building on President Trump's decision in Ankara to license Ukraine to produce Patriots, and the Drone Deal, which our teams are now working through. This has real potential, and we hope to get it finalised soon."

Background:
- During a meeting with Zelenskyy on the sidelines of NATO's Ankara summit on 8 July, Trump said the US would grant Ukraine the right to manufacture Patriot air defence systems.
