Two Russian ballistic missiles hit arms exhibition in Kyiv Oblast – Air Force
The Air Force has reported that Ukrainian air defence intercepted one Russian ballistic missile on the afternoon of 24 July, but two struck Kyiv Oblast.

Quote from Ihnat: "So far it has been reported that three missiles were launched and air defence managed to intercept one of them. Two, unfortunately, were not intercepted. And these two hits were recorded in Kyiv Oblast."
Details: Ihnat noted that the Russians have accumulated a certain number of missiles and are using them not only at night but also during the day, and that ballistic weapons are very fast, so safety protocols cannot be neglected.
He also stressed separately that mass gatherings and public events have long been banned in the Armed Forces for security reasons.
Early reports from Kyiv Oblast Military Administration indicate that the strike hit a private training ground where an event was being held.
Background:
- On 24 July at 11:25, the Air Force warned of a threat of ballistic weapons from the north. This was followed by a report that high-speed aerial assets were heading towards Kyiv Oblast and the capital.
- It later emerged that Russia had struck a training ground where an event attended by weapons manufacturers was taking place.
- As of 15:00, 10 people were known to have been killed and around a hundred injured in the strike. Two criminal proceedings have been opened.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has once again stressed that Patriot air defence missiles (the only ones capable of intercepting Russian ballistic weapons) are the number one priority.
