Russia has destroyed all petrol stations from Kharkiv to Poltava

Russian forces have destroyed more than 80 petrol stations in Kharkiv Oblast, leaving the Kharkiv-Poltava road completely without filling stations.

Details: Skoryk said the situation regarding petrol stations in Kharkiv Oblast is worsening every day, with the Kharkiv-Kyiv motorway hardest hit, particularly on the stretch from Kharkiv to Poltava.

"As of today, all the petrol stations on the Kharkiv-Kyiv motorway – specifically on the section from Kharkiv to Poltava – have been completely destroyed: in Valky, Chutove, and further along the road towards Poltava," Skoryk said.

The last functioning filling station in Valky was destroyed by Russian forces on 26 July.

In total, Russia has destroyed more than 200 petrol stations in Ukraine, over 80 of them in Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast.

However, Skoryk stated that there is currently no crisis on the fuel market.

He also urged anyone planning to drive on the Kharkiv-Poltava route to ensure they have sufficient fuel in advance, as there are now effectively no opportunities to buy fuel along this stretch of road.

Background:

• On the night of 24-25 July, Russian forces struck four petrol stations and a fire station in Poltava Oblast, causing damage. No one was injured.
