Drones strike Wildberries logistics hub in Russia's Penza, causing major fire – photo, videos

Drones attacked a Wildberries sorting hub in the Russian city of Penza on the night of 29-30 July, triggering a large fire. Wildberries is Russia's largest online retailer.

Details: Monitoring Telegram channels said the drones have hit a logistics centre belonging to the Russian online marketplace Wildberries, covering an area of around 90,000 sq m. Employees at the sorting hub were evacuated after the strike.

The logistics centre is one of Wildberries' key distribution hubs serving Russia's Volga Federal District.

Melnichenko later confirmed the incident.

"There is an open fire on the warehouse premises and firefighters are battling the blaze," he said.

Astra also reported that air-raid sirens had been sounded across the city following the attack.

Wildberries' press service said that the receipt of deliveries and dispatching of orders have been redirected to other facilities because of the attack on the warehouse in Penza Oblast.
