Rescue operation continues after Russian missile strike on Lviv: 34 injured – videos, photos

Thirty-four people, including a rescue worker, have been injured in a Russian missile strike on the city of Lviv. Rescue workers are continuing to clear the rubble of a damaged residential building, where people are trapped.

Update: Kozytskyi said that the number of people injured has risen to 30.

Quote from Kozytskyi: "Fifteen people have been hospitalised. Children are among those injured. One child is in hospital."

"There are still people trapped under the rubble of the building on Paton Street. The rescue operation is ongoing. Local residents are helping rescue workers clear the debris," he said.

The State Emergency Service later reported that seven people have been rescued in Lviv.

"Several strikes have been recorded in the city. Two high-rise residential buildings and non-residential buildings have been damaged. Fires have broken out at the sites of the impacts. Firefighters are extinguishing the fires and dealing with the aftermath of the attack. All the appropriate services are working at the scene," the service said.

Sadovyi added that over 20 residential buildings, a school and two kindergartens have been damaged in the city.
