Ukraine hits Russian electronic warfare system in Crimea with range of up to 5,000 km – video

Drone operators from the Unmanned Systems Department of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) struck a station belonging to a Russian Murmansk-BN coastal electronic warfare system near Cape Fiolent in temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of 26-27 July.

Quote: "A Murmansk has been burned in Crimea – DIU experts have hunted down an expensive electronic warfare system belonging to the occupiers."

Details: DIU did not provide an estimate of the system's value.

The Murmansk-BN coastal electronic warfare system is designed for signals intelligence, interception, and jamming of short-wave radio signals over ranges of up to 5,000 km, DIU said.

DIU also published footage of the strike on the system.

Background: Earlier, DIU released a video showing the destruction of a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet in temporarily occupied Crimea. The aircraft was hit at Belbek airfield on the night of 25-26 June 2026.
