Death toll from Russian ballistic missile strike on Kyiv rises to nine, over 20 injured – photos, video
Nine people have been killed and 27 injured in a Russian ballistic missile attack on the city of Kyiv on the night of 31 July-1 August.

Details: The Russian attack caused fires and destruction across five districts of the capital.
In the Solomianskyi district, two people were killed and eight injured, including two children. Part of a five-storey residential building collapsed and caught fire at one location, while cars in a car park caught fire at another. Three people were taken to hospital. Rescue workers evacuated 35 residents from the upper floors and the fire was extinguished.
In the Darnytskyi district, fires and structural damage were reported at an office building and at a separate non-residential building. Cars caught fire and residential buildings were damaged at another location. Seven people were killed and 14 injured in the district, including two children. Firefighters extinguished the fires. A crater was also found in an open area of a public park, while grass verges caught fire at several points along one street.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire broke out in a non-residential building and several ambulances caught fire. The blaze was extinguished. One person was found injured at one of the sites. A fire also broke out on the grounds of a film studio and was contained.
In the Dniprovskyi district, a shop was damaged.
In the Pecherskyi district, four houses and several outbuildings sustained damage.
Update: The State Emergency Service later reported that the number of people injured in the Russian attack on Kyiv had risen to 27, including four children.
After 07:30, Klitschko noted that the number of those injured had reached 28.
