Russia attacks Ukraine with 133 drones: 24 hits recorded

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 133 drones of various types on the night of 1-2 August. Hits by 24 loitering munitions were recorded at 19 locations.

Details: Early reports indicate that as of 08:00, air defence forces had shot down or jammed 109 drones over the north, south and east of the country.

Debris from downed drones fell at three locations.

At the time of reporting, the attack was ongoing, with Russian drones still present in Ukrainian airspace.

Background: Russia has lost 1,500 soldiers killed and wounded over the past day, bringing its total number of personnel losses to 1,449,120.
