Russia destroys Biosphere warehouse in Dnipro

A 20,000-sq-m warehouse complex, including a storage facility owned by Ukrainian company Biosphere, was destroyed in a Russian drone attack on the city of Dnipro on 4 August.

Quote: "Firefighters from the State Emergency Service worked continuously at the site, but due to the scale of the fire, the warehouse has been completely destroyed. Within a matter of hours, we lost a significant volume of products and some of our logistics capacity."

Details: Zdesenko added that the loss of the warehouse will affect the company's logistics operations, as "it is impossible to fully prepare for a scenario like this".

For reference: Biosphere is a Ukrainian manufacturer and distributor of household and personal care products, founded in 1997. The company markets products under the Freken BOK, Smile, Smile Baby, Selpak, Vortex and Novita brands, among others.

Background: An employee of Epicentr, a chain of home improvement superstores, was killed and three were injured during a large-scale Russian attack on the night of 4-5 August. A logistics hub operated by the company in the city of Kyiv was destroyed by fire, while warehouses and production facilities in Kalynivka in Kyiv Oblast were devastated.
