Son-in-law of Russian Aerospace Forces commander killed in 1 August Moscow restaurant explosion

Daniil Peredriy, the son-in-law of Russian Aerospace Forces commander Aleksandr Chayko, was killed in the explosion at Moscow's Balzi Rossi restaurant on 1 August.

Details: The outlet reported that Peredriy's death is confirmed by one of his personal documents having been declared invalid on 1 August. His death was also confirmed by the Russian register of legal entities.

"Information about the death of Daniil Peredriy, the son-in-law of Aleksandr Chayko, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, has appeared in the Unified Register of Sole Traders," Agentstvo said.

Background:

• An explosion occurred at the Balzi Rossi restaurant in Kudrinskaya Square in central Moscow on 1 August. The restaurant had been closed for a private event. Pro-Russian bloggers reported that the event may have been held to celebrate Aleksandr Chayko's 55th birthday.
• The Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee said an unidentified woman had attempted to bring an improvised explosive device into the restaurant disguised as a gift, but was stopped by a security guard.
• The woman, the security guard and one of the guests were killed in the explosion, while another 21 people were injured. Russian media outlets reported a total of 5 fatalities.
• Several Russian media outlets and Telegram channels suggested that the intended target may have been the private celebration of Chayko's 55th birthday.
