Russia attacks Ukraine with four missiles and over 100 drones: hits recorded at 18 locations

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Oniks anti-ship missiles, two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles and 101 Shahed, most of which were jet-powered, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions and Parodia-type decoy drones on the night of 5-6 August.

Details: According to early reports, as of 09:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had shot down or jammed 66 Russian Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions and drones of other types in the north, south and east of the country.

Hits by 29 attack UAVs and one Oniks missile were recorded at 18 locations and debris from downed drones fell at five locations.

The remaining missiles did not reach their targets; the information is being confirmed.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, as several Russian UAVs are still in Ukrainian airspace.
