Russian forces have destroyed over 400,000 sq m of warehouse space belonging to Ukrainian businesses, the equivalent of 56 football pitches.

Details: Among those affected are Fozzy Group, Rozetka, Epicentr, Nova Poshta and hundreds of businesses that stored their goods at the logistics facilities of major companies.

The Russian strikes could lead to temporary shortages in certain categories of goods.

For example, the Fora supermarket chain will reduce the number of promotional offers for about a week to help maintain stable product availability on its shelves.

"During the restructuring of logistics operations, some stores may experience temporary changes in their product range and the availability of certain goods," Fora's press office said.

Large businesses are increasingly relying on distributing goods across smaller regional warehouses, although this significantly increases logistics costs.

"Distributing inventory across several smaller warehouses in different regions of Ukraine is one of the most effective ways to protect a company from a complete shutdown caused by a single strike," said Ihor Hut, co-founder of DYB.

"Only a limited number of businesses can implement such a model. It is technologically complex and significantly increases warehousing and transport logistics costs," Hut added.
