Russians destroys delivery company branch in Sumy Oblast

Russian forces have destroyed a branch of Nova Poshta (Nova Post), Ukraine's largest private delivery company, in the Hlukhiv hromada of Sumy Oblast using a Shahed-type loitering munition. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Details: The building housing the branch sustained significant damage. There are no reports of casualties, according to early information.

Background:

  • On the night of 4-5 June 2026, Russian forces destroyed warehouses storing products belonging to Japan Tobacco International (JTI) and Imperial Brands Ukraine.
  • The Russian attack also damaged a NOVUS logistics centre and two Silpo distribution centres. Both NOVUS and Silpo are major supermarket and retail chains in Ukraine. Six employees were killed.
  • The Russians also completely destroyed an Intertop Ukraine logistics warehouse, a warehouse storing Puma goods and warehouse premises belonging to Bosch Ukraine's logistics partner. Early reports indicate that all Bosch products stored at the warehouse were destroyed.
  • Forbes Ukraine has estimated that Russian forces have destroyed over 400,000 sq m of warehouse space belonging to Ukrainian businesses, the equivalent of 56 football pitches.
  • Direct losses of Rozetka, one of Ukraine's largest retailers and online marketplaces, from the latest Russian attacks have reached billions of hryvnias, the biggest in the company's history.
