Another person injured in Russia's 5 August attack on Kyiv has died in hospital, bringing the death toll from the strike on the capital to two.

Background:
- On the night of 4-5 August, Russian forces launched ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv and the surrounding region, triggering large fires and destroying residential and non-residential buildings. More than 40 people were injured, while the overall death toll from the attacks reached 18 after the latest fatality on 7 August.
- Eight of those killed died at Kvitneva railway station in Kyiv Oblast's Brovary district.
- Russia also struck warehouses belonging to a number of Ukrainian businesses during the attack.
